Solo Pop | Acoustic Soul | Asheville, NC

Rocky Collin is the solo indie pop project of Raquel Willand, an Asheville-based artist blending modern soul, acoustic pop, and R&B-influenced storytelling. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, she was named Best Vocalist by the Phoenix New Times before relocating to the Blue Ridge Mountains in 2020.
Now a familiar face in Western North Carolina’s live circuit, Collin brings over a decade of experience performing across the Southwest and WNC. Her shows balance heartfelt originals and reimagined favorites, always shaped by the room she’s in—whether that’s a relaxed afternoon tasting or a packed evening crowd. Her performances create connection and warmth, elevating the atmosphere and keeping guests engaged without overpowering conversation.
In 2025, Collin was selected by ArtsAVL as one of the year’s funded artists to support the completion of her debut album, Shameover—a nine-track concept record exploring the tension between insecurity, social anxiety, and love throughout her twenties. She began releasing singles from the project in May 2025, starting with “Self Obsessed,” followed by “My Way,” “Big Game,” and “Crazy,” each offering a glimpse into the album’s intimate, groove-driven sound.
She has performed at Highland Brewing, Cellarest Beer Project, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Dry Falls Brewing Co., Botanist & Barrel, Lured Market & Grill, Village Pub, and Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar, among others.
